Weekend Wonder

How can a weekend be better spent? We took off Friday and added an extra day to our relaxation. We watched our nephew live his dream and win a state fishing tournament.  The weekend was planned around this tournament's time and location.  I had never been to a weigh-in and can now say the first one I ever experienced was a winner!  Now he moves on to nationals.  So proud of him!

In between our fish fan responsibilities, we enjoyed the beautiful lake tucked into the fall scenery.  We cooked a whole lot and ate enough for the rest of the week - Thanksgiving food at its finest and breakfasts like we never get to eat. We enjoyed each other's company, laughing until our sides hurt! We remembered the ones that weren't there to share the time with us and reminisced in the moments we spent laughing and learning from them.

After 10 years, she finally got the opportunity to ditch him.
(We are certain he never helped her with the Thanksgiving meal anyway!)

Our View

We only had a couple of mishaps - the sweet potatoes and the pilgrim.  But, not even this could spoil the wonder of our weekend.

Pretending to be shy (However, she is her daddy's child!)

Cam and Matthew making up their own fun.
They used jersey napkins and created a football player with them.
After making the players, they thought the run was the perfect place to have a game.

Tailgate times at Nonna and Pop's means a big crowd, dressing in our red and black, eating yummy food, playing with other kids, and cheering on our favorite team!  If you ask Cam and Maeve, they will be quick to tell you they love tailgating!

Thankful for Our Girl

We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with Maeve at her school. We got to have a potluck supper and hear some precious songs. We were proud of her performance. She is growing so fast!

Singing Albequerque, He's My Turkey

Anna Belle and Maeve gave each other courage to get up and perform.
They were side by side the whole time.

Thank you, God!

Bean

We have enjoyed CoCo in our family since before our family began. He has adjusted in more ways than any one weenie should have to and has done it with grace and ease.

I love it now that my human children refer to CoCo as my first baby!  They know how much I love him and have grown to love him themselves. Cam will say, "Mama, you have three babies!"  Indeed I do!

He is our CoCo Bean!
