My Favorite Little Peeps

Easter snuck up on us this year being the last weekend in March. By the time we got out the Easter stuff, it was time to stuff the eggs and have the hunts.

I was a little disappointed that we didn't hit up a major hunt this year. Maeve had one at school (which I had to miss due to a field trip) and Cam did too (in the cafeteria because the weather turned cold). I wanted them to not to miss out on a major annual childhood experience.

Little did I know that this would be their most meaningful Easter yet. After watching the new Bible series the last month, Easter night was the grand finale of the movies. It was to show Jesus and His crucifixion and resurrection. I was a little hesitant about them seeing Jesus' pain portrayed, but we decided it was definitely a story we wanted to come to life for them. We sat together and watched it. We answered lots and lots of innocent questions as simply as we could. We had two little people who could not imagine why anyone would want to hurt their Jesus.
