One of my parents at school made the comment to me sometime in the midst of May that she would rather have three Decembers as opposed to one May. I had never considered that comparison, but it spoke volumes to me. Why is it SO busy? Maybe it is because it is unexpected hectic whereas at Christmas we prepare ourselves for the hustle and bustle. Or maybe it is because the anticipation of our routine coming to a screeching hault. We all know the anticpation can be excruciating. Maybe it's just that we try to cram so much into one month...between Mother's Day, graduations, and the end of a school year, there is a whole lot of celebrating and gift giving.
