Our Princess is Three!

Good Morning, Three Year Old!
A ballerina Barbie from Cam
Pink Converse go great with PJs!

Maeve crossed over from the terrible twos to the terrific threes this month. (Or so we hope!)   After being at Disney World, Maeve went into official princess mode.  She was before we went, but after she was totally infatuated with the beauties.  I had ordered a Minnie Mouse cake for her, but had to change it after we could not deny her love of princesses.  We gathered the family for pizza and Princess Cake.
We think Maeve looks most like Cinderella

The princess arrived at the party in her ballgown and ended up in her purple sparkle pants.  When it is your princess party, evidently you get to dress however you please!
This was pre break down....there were huge tears behind that smile

Then, when it was time to sing "Happy Birthday" and blow out the candles, she was excited....until the candles didn't blow out on her first huff.  Apparently the disappointment of not getting the candle blown out was enough to send her over the edge.  She bellowed like a siren and hid her face as she cried into the table.  Afterall, it was her party and she could cry if she wanted to.
She pulled it together and was able to eat some cake with Anna Belle, her twin friend
Love this picture....you can see all the new stuff - dresses, dolls, boots, table
and yet she is playing with a gift she got at her first birthday!

All in all, I think she had a great time.  She opened presents as her guests arrived.  She was pampered and spoiled just like any fine princess.   After everyone left, she made the comment, "Everyone ate my birthday cake."  I guess she was disappointed that it was no longer whole. It's tough trying to figure out the mindset of a princess.  We do love her though, our Princess Maeve!
