Ice, Ice Baby

Well, Granny and Granddaddy always said if snow stayed on the ground for three days, it would come again. Our snow a couple of weeks ago lingered for days so we were all expecting a return. The weather forecasters warned us that this would be a catostrophic ice storm. And ice it did. Some parts got lots of snow, but we got a solid sheet of ice. At first glance it looked like a blanket of white snow, but it was ice. And it iced nonstop for atleast an entire 24 hours.

So, needless to say, we were homebound. We tried to be prepared in case of a power outage. We stocked the pantry with food that didn't have to be cooked. We filled the tub with water to be able to flush the toilets. We gathered candles, flashlights, and most importantly charged all of our devices.

With four days out if work and school, we had plenty if time time just be- we crafted, we played, we read, we gamed, we watched movies, we ate and ate! We never lost power so that made our time off not too challenging. We got our feel of sledding and dressing in layers. Ice, ice baby too cold. Bring on spring!
